While Texas City Animal Control Officers work primarily with domestic pets, they also work with local rehabbers and transporters to help injured or orphaned wildlife or wildlife that is inside a human dwelling. Officers will not respond to calls to remove healthy wildlife from their natural habitat.
If you have wildlife in your home or becoming a nuisance, you may trap them in a humane trap and call our dispatch at 409-643-5720 to have an Animal Control Officer remove the animal. Note that our officers do not go in attics or under homes for liability reasons, so please set the trap outside for pick up. Healthy wildlife will be relocated within city limits and your trap will be returned to your residence. Any injured or orphaned wildlife will be transported to a local rehabber.
