Employment Procedures
The City will only accept applications for jobs currently open. The City cannot accept unsolicited resumes or applications for a position that is not posted.
Any person interested in employment with the City of Texas City must complete an application from the City of Texas City

Applications of qualified applicants are transmitted to the departments for selection

All certifications will be verified
All vacant positions are posted at City Hall outside the HR Department. Applications remain on file with the Human Resources Department for six months. All positions are posted until filled.
