The City of Texas City will temporarily close the Matthew T. Doyle Natatorium for renovations and repairs, beginning Saturday, April 22.
Some of the projects that will be done include the installation of a new HVAC system, the replacement of two drain covers, the renovation of pool expansion joints, and the replacement of the UV system.
This work is extensive and is expected to take at least six months to complete.
The last day the Natatorium will be open to the public is Friday, April 21. The Lowry Pool remains open and available for members to use during this time.
The Nessler Family Aquatic Center will also be open soon; it will be open for weekends beginning May 6, and will open for the full summer season on Memorial Day weekend.
